On May 11, the Hai Lang District Labor Federation (Quang Tri Province) said that in response to the Workers' Month - Month of action on occupational safety and hygiene in 2025, the unit has deployed the construction of "Union Shelter" houses for union members in difficult circumstances.
Previously, on May 8, in Thuong Xa village (Hai Thuong commune, Hai Lang district), the District Labor Federation held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a house for Mr. Phan Duc Loi - a worker at VTJ Toms Textile Company Limited. This is the first house to start construction in a series of activities to care for union members of the district union during this year's Workers' Month.
Mr. Loi shared that with the support of 40 million VND from the Hai Lang District Labor Federation, along with his own savings and help from relatives, his family had the motivation to build a solid roof and settle down for a long time.
In addition to Mr. Loi's case, in May 2025, the Hai Lang District Labor Federation will continue to start construction of 2 more "Union Shelters" for union members and workers in difficult circumstances. Each house is supported with 40 million VND from the "Union Shelter" Fund of the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor.
This is a meaningful activity, demonstrating the close concern of the Hai Lang District Trade Union for the lives of workers, especially during the Workers' Month - the month of action for workers.
