On May 7, the Kien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor held a launching ceremony for Workers' Month 2025.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Kien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor Truong Thanh Thuy said: After 13 years of organizing and implementing activities to respond to "Workers' Month" among union members and employees in the province with practical content and flexible forms suitable to the actual situation in the locality and unit.
Trade unions at all levels in the province have proactively and flexibly organized many practical care activities, meeting most of the needs of life, material and spiritual needs of union members and workers; creating consensus from all levels, sectors, enterprises and the whole society, especially the enthusiastic response of union members and employees in the whole province.

Key activities include: Organizing activities in response to the Month of action on occupational safety and hygiene; Peak month for developing union members, establishing grassroots unions.
Organize visits and encourage union members and workers who have had work accidents, occupational diseases, are in difficult circumstances, and have serious illnesses. Timely consider and propose support for the construction and repair of "Union Shelter" houses for union members with difficult housing circumstances...
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Giang Thanh Khoa said that the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the achieved results of the trade union levels. Through many activities, emulation movements, the program organized and launched by trade unions has contributed to creating exciting atmosphere, arousing the creative labor potential of workers; Thereby making an important contribution to the process of socio -economic development and development of the province in recent years and in the upcoming development period.

In order to effectively implement the activities, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee proposed all levels, branches, businesses, organizations and individuals to focus on well performing a number of key tasks. In particular, strengthening the grasp of the situation of social public opinion in the contingent of cadres, union members and employees to promptly reflect to the Party committees and the government to solve the difficulties and frustration of workers, officials and workers; well performing the work of caring, representatives of protecting rights and legitimate interests of employees.
Authorities at all levels and employers need to continue to support and create favorable conditions for the Trade Union to organize gathering activities, mobilize employees to actively compete in labor production, stabilize jobs, and improve their lives.
Encourage employees to focus on improving production and business efficiency; organize regular dialogue activities between business owners and employees to promote the democratic spirit in the process of participating in production and work at the workplace, contributing to ensuring harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises.

"Recently and promptly pay attention to implementing well the regimes and policies to ensure the rights of employees, focusing on participating in social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance. Organize negotiations to sign collective labor agreements, promptly encourage and visit union members and employees in difficult circumstances," Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Giang Thanh Khoa emphasized.
At the launching ceremony, the Provincial Federation of Labor presented 15 "Union Shelters" to union members with especially difficult housing circumstances; presented gifts to union members in difficult circumstances in Rach Gia City, industry unions and grassroots unions under the Provincial Federation of Labor.
After the launching ceremony, the Provincial Federation of Labor will continue to establish working groups to visit and give gifts to union members in difficult circumstances at the industry unions and the Federations of Labor of the remaining districts and cities.

Coordinate with the Association for the Protection of Poor Patients to organize disease screening for female union members and employees in enterprises; Coordinate with relevant departments and branches to organize dialogues between provincial leaders and workers to listen to aspirations, remove difficulties and obstacles, and propose better solutions to care for employees.
