Voluntary blood donation for reserve, serving emergency services during the Lunar New Year

    Quang Tri - On January 23, the Provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization coordinated with Khe Sanh, Tan Lap, and Lao Bao communes to organize the 2026 Red Spring Festival.

    With the theme "Compassionate blood donation - Sweet life donation", the festival took place in a vibrant atmosphere, spreading the spirit of sharing right before the Lunar New Year. The program attracted nearly 300 volunteers who are officials, civil servants, public employees and people in the area to participate.

    At the festival, volunteers were screened by medical staff and had their health checked fully, ensuring compliance with professional procedures before donating blood. The organization was carried out seriously and safely, creating peace of mind for participants.

    At the end of the program, the organizing committee received 285 units of blood, supplementing the reserve blood source to promptly serve the emergency and treatment work for patients during the 2026 Lunar New Year.

    The activity contributes to raising community awareness about voluntary blood donation, while spreading the spirit of mutual affection and responsibility for social health.
