On November 23, the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor announced that the Gio Linh District Federation of Labor had just held a ceremony to admit new members and establish the Cua Viet Town Fisheries Union (Gio Linh District).
The ceremony was held on the afternoon of November 22. At the ceremony, 60 union members were admitted to the union and the decision to establish the Cua Viet Town Fisheries Union was handed over. The decision of the provisional Executive Committee consisting of 5 comrades was also passed, in which 1 comrade was assigned as Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Cua Viet Town Fisheries Union.
This is the first grassroots fishing union in Quang Tri province to be established, aiming to gather fishermen and workers who mainly exploit seafood in the sea, contributing to protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
