On May 23, at the headquarters of the Thai Binh Provincial Federation of Labor (TPL), the Thai Binh and Hung Yen Provincial Federations of Labor held a conference to discuss and agree on the tasks of implementing the merger between the Thai Binh Provincial Trade Union and Hung Yen Province.
Attending the Conference were Chairman of Thai Binh Labor Federation Bui Xuan Vinh, Chairman of the Labor Federation of Hung Yen Province Dang Van Dien and the Vice Chairman of the Labor Federation of the two provinces; leaders of committees under the Labor Federation of the two provinces; Chairman of the Labor Federation of districts and cities and leaders of trade unions and officials under the Labor Federation of the two provinces.
Based on the notice of conclusion No. 2129-TB/TuHy-Tutb dated April 28, 2025 of the Standing Committee of Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee of Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee on "Project on arranging administrative units of Hung Yen and Thai Binh province" and Official Letter No. 4092/TLD-TOC of May 18, 2025 of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Leaders of the Labor Confederation of Thai Binh and Hung Yen provinces exchanged and shared with each other about the organizational structure as well as the current model of trade union activities of the two localities.

At the conference, delegates also focused on discussing and assessing the current situation of organizational structure, personnel, and trade union activities in each province and proposing plans to reorganize and perfect the organization, ensuring the rights of union members, workers and trade union staff after the merger.
Previously, delegations of the Labor Federation of the two provinces came to offer incense and flowers to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at Uncle Ho Temple (Hoang Dieu Ward, Thai Binh City).
