On January 3, the Trade Union of Economic Zones and Industrial Parks (EZs & Industrial Parks) of Thai Binh province held a meeting to summarize work activities in 2024 and deploy tasks in 2025.
In the past year, the Provincial Economic Zone and Industrial Zone Trade Union has directed grassroots trade unions to proactively advise business leaders to negotiate, sign and supervise the implementation of collective labor agreements (CLAs) at businesses. In particular, they proactively and actively advise to include more favorable provisions than those prescribed by law in CLAs. Currently, 43/46 grassroots trade unions have CLAs, of which 25 CLAs have provisions more favorable than those prescribed by law.
The Provincial Economic Zone and Industrial Zone Trade Union has implemented the program "Tet Sum Vay - Spring Sharing" at 47 grassroots trade unions, presenting 2,190 gifts to union members and workers with a total amount of nearly 1.2 billion VND; selecting 320 workers to receive gifts from central and local leaders; guiding grassroots trade unions to select 600 union members to participate in free shopping in the program "Union Tet Market 2024" organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
On the occasion of Workers' Month 2024, the Provincial Economic Zone and Industrial Park Trade Union organized a ceremony to honor 98 union members and party members who are outstanding workers in emulation movements; presented gifts from the Provincial National Assembly Delegation to 20 union members in difficult circumstances with a total amount of 20 million VND.
Coordinated the organization of presenting 34 gifts from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor with a total amount of over 44 million VND; supported 30 union members and employees whose working hours were reduced or whose labor contracts were terminated due to the company cutting or reducing orders with a total amount of 30 million VND; coordinated with 4 trade unions and business leaders to organize "Union Meals" for 9,133 workers; organized the award of funds to support the construction of warm houses for 2 union members with a total amount of 100 million VND...
Besides, activities to care for female union members and workers are always given attention and direction by trade unions at all levels.
On the occasion of Vietnamese Women's Day, October 20, the Provincial Economic Zone and Industrial Zone Trade Union organized to present gifts to 78 female union members with serious illnesses with a total amount of over 58 million VND. There were 41 Trade Unions that organized propaganda, celebrations and meetings, organized lucky draws, art festivals, and presented gifts to 27,101 female workers with a total amount of nearly 1.7 billion VND.
On the occasion of the opening of the new school year, the Provincial Economic Zone and Industrial Zone Trade Union presented gifts to 484 excellent students, children of union members who overcame difficulties to study well in the 2023-2024 school year with a total amount of over 204 million VND.
36 trade unions coordinated with professional organizations to organize meetings and give gifts to encourage 24,735 children with a total amount of 2.6 billion VND. On the occasion of International Children's Day, June 1, 25 trade unions coordinated with business leaders to give gifts to 28,430 children with a total amount of nearly 3 billion VND...
With many activities to take good care of union members and workers, at the conference, 13 groups and 14 individuals received awards from the union organization.
