The Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Dong Hy district has just chaired and coordinated with other units to organize the 2024 Job Fair and Startup Consulting Day at Tran Quoc Tuan High School.
Attending the program were Mr. Ngo Xuan Huy - Vice Chairman of Dong Hy District People's Committee, representatives of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Thai Nguyen province, leaders of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Dong Hy district, local people, the board of directors and students of Tran Quoc Tuan High School.
Speaking at the program, Vice Chairman of Dong Hy District People's Committee Ngo Xuan Huy affirmed that in recent years, job creation has always been focused and implemented by the locality. Thanks to the participation of the entire government system, Dong Hy District has achieved many positive results in vocational training and job creation. Labor policies have been implemented synchronously, contributing to reducing the unemployment rate.
"Many effective economic models have been implemented, especially for rural workers. Organizing job fairs and vocational training is one of the important and meaningful contents to help reduce unemployment and create more jobs for people.
"Thereby contributing to promoting the local economic and social development," the Vice Chairman of Dong Hy District People's Committee emphasized.
The 2024 Job Fair and Startup Consulting Program organized by the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Dong Hy district aims to provide information on domestic and foreign labor. Create opportunities for workers to get acquainted with the labor recruitment market and have direct contact with vocational training units and facilities.
At the same time, it helps businesses to contact, provide recruitment sources, and strengthen connections with workers. Thereby promoting orientation and job search opportunities for people and students. Especially the employment issue for rural workers and ethnic minorities.
This program has the participation of Thai Nguyen Provincial Employment Service Center, dozens of prestigious enterprises and vocational training facilities.
On this occasion, the leaders of Dong Hy district also presented souvenir flags to units and universities participating in the festival. Certificates of merit were presented to groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in vocational training and job creation in the district. At the same time, 10 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, were presented to students with excellent academic achievements at Tran Quoc Tuan High School.
Hoang Phuong Thao (12A4 student at Tran Quoc Tuan High School) said that this is a very meaningful program. Especially for 12th grade students preparing to leave school. At the program, consultants and recruiters disseminated more useful knowledge. Helping students and parents have more orientation to take appropriate steps and find stable jobs.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Ms. Le Thi Thu Ha - Head of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Dong Hy district said that vocational training and job creation are core issues, creating conditions for workers to have stable income, improve their lives, and gradually rise up.
Since 2022, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Dong Hy district has coordinated with other units to organize many job fairs in the area. From there, hundreds of businesses were connected to provide consultation and recruitment. Over 2,000 workers participated in receiving information, job referrals and career orientation.
"From 2022 to present, the district has organized 17 vocational training classes for over 500 rural workers. After completing the training class, 100% of students were granted vocational certificates. After training, over 80% of students have jobs.
Vocational training policies associated with job creation for the poor and near-poor have always been of interest to the locality. From there, it creates conditions for the poor and near-poor to participate in vocational training, gain necessary knowledge to participate in production labor, participate in labor export abroad, increase family income, and stabilize life," Ms. Ha emphasized.
