In recent years, the Trade Union of S&H Vina Co., Ltd., directly under the Kim Tan Commune Trade Union, Thanh Hoa province, has coordinated with employers to effectively implement many emulation movements. In which, studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style is identified as a regular task, associated with trade union activities, production and business tasks, and building a strong trade union organization.
Talking to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Bui Thi Hong Hiep - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of S&H Vina Co., Ltd. - said that the unit currently has about 3,700 union members.
In the period 2023-2025, the Trade Union of S&H Vina Co., Ltd. has organized 12 conferences to thoroughly grasp and propagate thematic topics; 24 meetings at trade union groups; maintaining at least one study topic each year.
The content of propaganda focuses on studying Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style; the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws; the tasks of trade union organizations; educating responsibility, labor discipline, practicing thrift, and combating wastefulness.
The Company's Trade Union also links studying and following Uncle Ho with emulation movements, professional tasks and building corporate culture.
To suit production conditions, propaganda work is innovated in a flexible direction, through Zalo, Facebook groups, loudspeaker systems at workshops, worker kitchen areas and trade union meetings.
Along with that, the trade union regularly summarizes and evaluates the results of implementation; promptly commends and replicates typical collectives and individuals.
Through implementation, the awareness and actions of union members and workers have had many positive changes; awareness of compliance with regulations, industrial style, sense of responsibility and work efficiency have been gradually improved.
Taking good care of workers
From propaganda work, the Trade Union of S&H Vina Co., Ltd. has built and maintained many typical models. Among them, the "Good Labor, Creative Labor" model recorded 25 initiatives and technical improvements applied in practice, bringing benefits of more than 450 million VND.
In addition, the model "Saving and following Uncle Ho" is effective in saving raw materials, electricity and working time. The model "Green - clean - beautiful, ensuring labor safety and hygiene" contributes to improving working conditions and ensuring safety for workers.
The Company's Trade Union links studying and following Uncle Ho with patriotic emulation movements, good labor movements, creative labor; taking the effectiveness of task performance and caring for union members as a measure.
As a result, 95% of union members achieved the title of advanced laborer; 300 typical union members were commended and rewarded.
Every month and quarter, the Trade Union of S&H Vina Co., Ltd. coordinates with business leaders to visit and give gifts to 4-6 workers in particularly difficult circumstances, suffering from serious illnesses, with each gift worth 1 million VND.
On holidays and anniversaries, the trade union coordinates with the board of directors to organize many cultural, artistic, sports, seminars, and gifts for workers and children of union members who achieve good academic performance. Each gift is worth from 150,000 VND to 500,000 VND.
The Company's Trade Union also coordinates with the Board of Directors to organize periodic dialogues, implement grassroots democracy regulations, and promptly resolve workers' petitions.
In the period 2023-2025, trade unions and businesses have organized 11 dialogues, agreeing on many contents beneficial to union members and workers.
In the 3 years 2023-2025, 1,580 union members were rewarded by the company for their achievements in production labor. Each person received 500,000 VND and a helmet.
With the achieved results, the Trade Union of S&H Vina Co., Ltd. was awarded Certificates of Merit by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation.
