Hue Trade Union applies AI, enhances union member interaction

QUẢNG AN |

The proactive application of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technology to trade union activities is helping Hue City Trade Union officials catch up with the digital transformation trend, while improving the effectiveness of propaganda, management and care for union members and workers.

More flexible

The Hue City Labor Federation organized a training course on the application of information technology in trade union work, attracting nearly 100 full-time staff from grassroots trade unions. Instead of using paper documents, the entire training content is deployed in the digital environment, focusing on popular AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, DeepSeek, etc.

Through the program, students are instructed in detailed operations to apply these tools to practice such as: Building propaganda content, creating videos, designing images, planning event organization, supporting document drafting and gathering information quickly and accurately.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thinh - a union official of the Phu Xuan District Labor Federation - shared: "Previously, I spent a lot of time compiling propaganda content. Now, with AI tools, I can create more intuitive, vivid, and accessible products. In particular, the propaganda of Workers' Month has become more effective and flexible thanks to the application of technology".

Ms. Tran Thi Nhu Phuong - a union official of A Luoi district - said that the training course helped her change her perspective on technology. If I was shy before because I thought AI was complicated, now I can use it proficiently to support my daily work. AI is a powerful tool to help union officials innovate their thinking and working methods" - Ms. Phuong said.

Intensive training for trade union officials

According to Ms. Tran Thi Minh Nguyet - Permanent Vice President of the Hue City Labor Federation, the Trade Union organization cannot approach workers in the old way while society is entering the digital era.

Equipping union officials with digital skills is an urgent requirement to innovate operations and improve the quality of service for union members and workers, Ms. Nguyet emphasized.

In recent times, the Hue City Labor Federation has taken positive steps in digital transformation such as: Building an electronic union member management system, promoting the use of fanpages and Zalo groups to quickly propagate, deploy surveys, and hold online meetings during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the applications are still individual, not synchronous, and have not yet fully exploited the potential of new technologies.

Therefore, in the coming time, the Hue City Labor Federation has determined to focus on a more methodical and professional development strategy.

In the immediate future, specialized training courses on technology and AI will be organized; instructions on the effective use of work support tools such as writing articles, creating images, and drafting documents quickly; at the same time, applying electronic forms and QR codes to improve the effectiveness of union member management.

In addition, communication work is also focused on modernization. Digital platforms such as fanpages, Zalo, YouTube will be operated more professionally, enhancing interaction with union members. AI will be used to edit content according to trends, support video production, help spread union information flexibly, promptly and closely following the needs of workers.

According to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Dat - Head of the Propaganda and Women's Union of Hue City Labor Federation, improving the technological capacity of union officials is the foundation for the Hue union system to catch up with the comprehensive digital transformation process.

The application of technology and AI not only helps save time and improve work efficiency but also opens up new, closer and more practical approaches to union members and workers, Mr. Dat affirmed.
