On August 9, the Labor Union (LĐLĐ) of Chợ Gạo District (Tiền Giang Province) coordinated with the Management Board of Wondo Vina Joint Stock Company and the company's trade union to organize the "Trade Union Meal" in 2024 for 1,197 union members, workers, and to celebrate the birthdays of union members working at the enterprise in August.
"The Trade Union Meal" was organized at the Wondo Vina Joint Stock Company's dining hall. Each meal costs 68,000 VND, higher than the regular meal by 50,000 VND per serving, The meal includes: savory dishes (fried chicken legs, steamed shrimp with lemon, fried spring rolls), stir-fried dishes (carrots, turnips stir-fried with pork), sour soup, fruits, and soft drinks with sufficient nutrients, ensuring food safety. This is an activity to implement the task of caring for the material and spiritual life of union members, workers, and to welcome the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024).
Mr. Phạm Ngọc Hoài Nhân – Vice Chairman of the LĐLĐ Chợ Gạo District (Tiền Giang Province) said: "The Trade Union Meal" demonstrates the role and responsibility of the trade union organization always focusing on the grassroots, workers to care for the material and spiritual life of union members, workers. Through this, it creates a sense of closeness and connection between workers and the trade union organization and the leaders of state agencies, units, and enterprises. At the same time, it encourages units and enterprises to continue implementing welfare programs to care for the lives of workers and laborers."
At the program, the Executive Committee of the company's trade union (CĐCS) of Wondo Vina Joint Stock Company presented 10 gifts to union members with difficult circumstances but always completing their production and business tasks at the company. In addition, the Executive Committee of the CĐCS of this company also organized a birthday gift-giving ceremony for 101 workers born in August 2024.
