The Congress was attended by 151 delegates, representing more than 13,500 union members in the ward. Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu attended.
The Congress is an important political event marking a fundamental change in the organizational model in the new era. The Congress decided on important issues of the workers' movement, civil servants, laborers and trade union activities after implementing the 2-level local government model; decided on targets, directions, tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 term.
For the 2025 - 2030 term, the Ba Dinh Ward Trade Union set 10 targets to strive for and 3 breakthroughs. Including the goal of comprehensively innovating the content and methods of operation, building a strong organization, a reliable support for workers. The work of representing and protecting the rights of workers is focused on, especially collective bargaining, signing labor agreements, improving working conditions, and ensuring labor safety.
The union promotes digital transformation, applies information technology and artificial intelligence in management, strives for 100% of meeting documents to be digitized at the end of the term. Dialogue activities, legal dissemination, and building harmonious and stable labor relations continue to be key tasks. At the same time, it will expand practical care programs such as Tet Sum Vay, Trade Union Shelter, union member welfare, and support for loans for economic development.
The ward union also identified improving the capacity of cadres as a breakthrough; at the same time, promoting the development of union members, especially in the non-state sector and informal labor to expand influence and affirm their role in the political system.
According to the Appointment Decisions announced at the Congress, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh was appointed as Chairwoman of the Ba Dinh Ward Trade Union for the 2025 - 2030 term.
