Mr. Le Dinh Hung - Permanent Vice President of Hanoi City Labor Federation, Head of the training course organizing committee - said that Hanoi City Labor Federation (HLF) coordinated with Trade Union University to organize a training course on trade union theory and practice for 19 officials of the Vientiane Capital Labor Federation, Vientiane Province and Luang Prabang Province of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, from September 6, 2024 to October 20, 2024.
During the 45-day period (from September 6, 2024 to October 20, 2024) of studying in Hanoi, the students studied: 215 theory sessions with 9 subjects, 11 skill topics and 185 practice sessions, discussions, reviews, exchanges, and learning practical experiences at the facility.
Theoretical learning content includes lectures on issues such as: Basic issues of Vietnam Trade Unions; Labor Law and Trade Union Law; Building healthy labor relations; Trade unions representing and protecting the legal and legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers; Trade unions participating in management; Trade unions propagating and mobilizing union members and workers; Organizational and personnel work of Vietnam Trade Unions; Trade unions and occupational safety and hygiene.
Finance, trade union economics, social insurance; Current issues for trade union organizations; Skills in propagating and mobilizing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions; Skills in organizing conferences of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers' conferences; Skills in coordinating the organization of emulation movements...

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, Ms. Tuyen suggested that the Hanoi City Labor Federation and the Vientiane Capital Labor Federation, Vientiane Province and Luang Prabang Province continue to strengthen cooperation and exchange experiences in the following areas: Training and fostering of cadres; protecting the legitimate interests of workers, as well as issues related to comprehensive cooperation between the two capitals and Vientiane Province and Luang Prabang Province.
