Present at the meeting and dialogue, Mr. Vu Duc Vuong - Vice Chairman of Trade Union of Yamaha Motor Vietnam Co., Ltd. shared that today's conference is very useful, workers can propose directly to the Chairman of the City People's Committee. The recommendations are satisfactorily answered by leaders of departments and agencies. Besides, the recommendations of the workers are heard. In fact, the current living expenses are increasingly expensive compared to the income of workers. Besides, social housing is also a problem that I as well as many workers from localities to Hanoi to work.
Ms. Tran Thi Huyen, a worker at Yamaha Motor Vietnam Co., Ltd., was happy because the recommendations of her colleagues were listened to and resolved by the City leaders. Ms. Huyen said this was the third time she attended the City's leaders' dialogue conference with workers. In general, leaders of departments and branches have answered in detail and thoroughly as well as provided solutions to the recommendations and proposals of workers.
What Ms. Huyen is interested in is salary and insurance policies. Currently, she has worked at the Company for 13 years, earning more than 15 million VND/month, but her life is also quite difficult because she is raising 2 young children. According to Ms. Huyen, health care and education costs account for the majority of salary funds, so even though salaries have increased, they have not been able to compensate for the inflation rate over the years.
For Mr. Phan Thanh Hai, Chairman of the Trade Union of Meiko Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd., the Conference demonstrated the concern and commitment of the City's leaders in listening to and solving the problems of workers, contributing to improving their working conditions and lives. Mr. Hai analyzed: Currently, all provinces and cities across the country have industrial parks.
To attract and retain workers in the industrial park in general and the capital's industrial park in particular, workers hope to have suitable infrastructure such as housing, schools, playgrounds, hospitals, etc. to be able to work with peace of mind and contribute to the construction of the capital. These are necessary conditions to attract and retain workers in the capital's industrial parks.
It is known that Mr. Hai has attended meetings and dialogues with workers in the capital since 2013.
The special thing that brought joy to workers at the Meeting and Dialogue Conference was that 50 workers in difficult circumstances received gifts on the occasion of Workers' Month.
