These are the Project to establish Commune and Ward Trade Unions and the Project to establish the Hanoi High-Tech Park and Industrial Park Trade Unions.
Accordingly, these projects were reported by the Standing Committee of the City Labor Federation to the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City after receiving comments at the working session between the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City and the Standing Committee of the Hanoi City Labor Federation.
According to the assessment, the Hanoi City Labor Federation has been urgent and serious in receiving and completing the 2 Projects in the roadmap for streamlining and improving the effectiveness of the political system.
The leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hanoi City requested the Standing Committee of the City Labor Federation to continue to receive comments at the meeting on July 14, work with relevant agencies, and promptly complete the 2 Projects to submit to the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee for approval.
It is known that among the 40 trade unions directly above the grassroots level of the Hanoi City Labor Federation that have stopped operating since June 30, 2025, there is the Hanoi Industrial and Export Processing Zones Trade Union.
The Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee proposed that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor allow Hanoi City to maintain the current model of "Hanoi Industrial and Export Processing Zones Trade Union" and change its name to "Hanoi High-Tech Zones and Industrial Parks Trade Union".
With the new situation, when the Labor Code allows the establishment of a representative organization for workers at enterprises, an operating model like the previous model of the Hanoi Industrial and Export Processing Zones Trade Union is very necessary.
