Ms. Tran Thi Hieu is a worker at DHA Export Garment Co., Ltd. Her husband died early, she alone manages to raise 2 children and pay off previous debts borrowed to treat her husband's illness. Her family is considered a near-poor household in the locality.
Faced with Ms. Tran Thi Hieu's difficult circumstances, the City Labor Federation decided to provide support for building a Trade Union Shelter.
The total cost of building the house is 293.27 million VND. Of which, the Hanoi Labor Federation supported 50 million VND from the Trade Union Shelter program; grassroots trade unions supported 5 million VND; businesses where Ms. Hieu works supported 10 million VND; socialized sources supported 5 million VND. The remaining funds were accumulated and borrowed by the family.
Directly handing over support funds to union member Tran Thi Hieu, Mr. Nguyen Huy Khanh - Vice Chairman of the Hanoi Labor Federation expressed the sharing and concern of the Vietnam Trade Union organization for union members and workers.
On this occasion, the Party Committee, Trade Union of Binh Minh commune, business leaders and colleagues also gave her gifts and sincere words of encouragement on her new homecoming day.
The support packages handed over not only contribute to helping Ms. Hieu's family have more conditions to stabilize their lives, but also are a practical sharing of the Trade Union organization with union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
