Briefly reporting on the implementation of tasks before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2025, Secretary of Luc Yen District Party Committee Dinh Khac Yen said that in carrying out a number of tasks before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2025, the district has reviewed and completed all the work of overcoming the consequences caused by storm No. 3 in the district, especially supporting resettlement and building houses for people whose houses were damaged.
For 384 households affected by storm No. 3, up to now, the district has completed 256 houses and is completing 128 houses.
For the Lunar New Year 2025, the entire district plans to present over 5,300 gifts with a total cost of over 2.2 billion VND, including 1,207 gifts for poor households and households affected by Typhoon Yagi with a total cost of over 600 million VND. Communes and towns are reviewing the needs and providing food support during the Tet holiday to 222 households, 558 people with 8,370 kg of rice.
At the same time, the locality has directed agencies and units to fully pay the regime, policies, salaries and bonuses to cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers; organize programs: "Spring of Solidarity - Tet with love between the army and the people", "Tet Sum Vay", "Tet Market 0 Dong" and visit and give gifts to workers in difficult circumstances from support sources with 420 gifts, costing about 271 million VND.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Do Duc Duy acknowledged and commended the results that Luc Yen district has achieved in the past time, especially the work of overcoming the consequences of storm Yagi and preparing all conditions for people to enjoy spring and celebrate the Lunar New Year 2025.
Mr. Do Duc Duy expressed his emotion when witnessing the dramatic changes in the area where the storm and flood had just passed. Up to now, the clean and beautiful roads, the spacious countryside and the cheerful smiles are proof of the solidarity, efforts and determination of the people to overcome difficulties.
At the families he visited, Mr. Do Duc Duy sent his deepest condolences to the families of those with meritorious services and families whose loved ones died or lost their homes due to natural disasters.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment encouraged people to overcome difficulties and losses to have a peaceful and warm New Year.
