The "Joining Vietnam to Advance" event in 2026 is held in Ca Mau at the same time as localities across the country. The province's focal point is located in Happy Home Ca Mau Urban Area, on Tran Hung Dao Street, Tan Thanh Ward.
At the central point, about 5,000 people including police, military forces, students, officials, civil servants, public employees, businesses and people from An Xuyen, Tan Thanh, Ly Van Lam and Hoa Thanh wards participated in walking with a route of about 2.5km.
In Vinh Trach ward, more than 500 officials, civil servants, armed forces, students and people also participated in response. The walking group departed from the beginning of Ham Nghi street, in front of the Party Committee headquarters of Vinh Trach ward, hamlet 3, then returned to the starting point with a length of about 2km.
In the remaining communes and wards, the locality organizes response points, performs flag salute ceremonies and walks according to the general time frame of the program, ensuring traffic safety, security and order, and medical work.
The program "Joining Vietnam to Advance" initiated by Nhan Dan Newspaper and the Ministry of Public Security, was first organized in August 2025. This year, the program has the additional participation and support of the Ministry of National Defense and the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
The activity aims to spread the movement of physical training and sports, improve community health, and at the same time celebrate the 81st anniversary of National Day September 2nd and the Traditional Day of the Vietnamese People's Police.
