On the afternoon of June 30, the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Youth Federation (VYTU) of Ca Mau province, term 2026 - 2029, took place at the VNPT Ca Mau Hall with the participation of 270 delegates, representing more than 381,000 union officials, members, and youth throughout the province.
The Congress consulted and elected 68 members to participate in the Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation of Ca Mau province term I, term 2026 - 2029. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Duy - Deputy Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Youth Union was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Federation of Ca Mau province term I.
Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Youth Union, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province Pham Tuan Tai said that this is the first congress after the merger of Ca Mau and Bac Lieu provinces, marking a new step in the development of the Association organization and the youth movement.
The Congress has the task of evaluating the results of the Association's work and youth movement in the 2024 - 2026 period; determining goals, directions, and tasks for the 2026 - 2029 term, building a strong Association organization, gathering and uniting all classes of youth, promoting the spirit of pioneering, creativity, volunteering, and contributing youth to building the homeland.
Speaking to direct, Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Standing Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation acknowledged and praised the results achieved by the Youth Union at all levels and Ca Mau youth in the past term.
According to Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy, in the context of Ca Mau province entering a new development phase with many opportunities and higher requirements, the Association organization needs to strongly innovate its operating methods, shifting from organizing movement thinking to creating practical value for young people. Each program must originate from practical needs, closely follow the development tasks of the locality, and aim for practical efficiency instead of only focusing on the number of activities.
Directing at the Congress, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province Ho Thanh Thuy requested the Associations at all levels to continue to innovate the work of educating revolutionary ideals, ethics, and lifestyles; build a generation of Ca Mau youth with firm political bravery, living beautifully, living usefully, and full of aspirations to contribute.
Deputy Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee requested the Vietnam Youth Federation of the province to take the lead in digital transformation, proactively integrate internationally; effectively implement the movements "Digital Youth", "Digital Education", build digital youth teams, encourage the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in learning, labor, production and strongly shift the activities of the Association organization to digital platforms.
Mastering cyberspace for learning, creativity, connecting and developing, instead of being caught up in negative trends", is the requirement set by provincial leaders for Ca Mau youth in the new development stage.
