Ho Chi Minh City has had a slight increase in COVID-19 cases in the past 4 weeks
On May 15, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health said that from the beginning of 2025 to now, Ho Chi Minh City has had 51 cases of COVID-19, including 29 inpatient cases and 22 outpatient cases. Compared to the same period in 2024, the total number of cases in 2025 decreased by 83% and there were no cases requiring respiratory support.
In the first 14 weeks of the year, only 1-2 CA CAVI -19 CA is reported. However, from week 15 (mid-April) up to now, the number of weeks of Covid-19 cases shows signs of quite significant increase. In the week of 19 (5 - 11.5), the city had 16 cases reported, an increase of 10 shifts compared to the average of 4 weeks earlier. The city does not record the outbreaks of Covid-19 outbreaks in the area.

Gasoline prices increase after 2 consecutive operating periods of decline
In today's adjustment session (May 15), the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased compared to the previous adjustment period, at VND19 culm/liter (up VND403/liter). RON 95-III gasoline price increased compared to the previous adjustment period, priced at VND19,594/liter (up VND415/liter).

Prices of oil products increased simultaneously. Of which, diesel 0.05S is priced at VND 17,228/liter (up VND 419/liter); kerosene has a new price of VND 17,226/liter (up VND 285/liter); mazut is priced at VND 16,160/kg (up VND 627/kg).

Traffic collision in Dak Nong kills 2 people
On the morning of May 15, the leader of the People's Committee of Quang Son commune (Dak G'long district, Dak Nong) said that there was a traffic accident in the area that caused 2 deaths. The accident occurred around 8:45 am on the same day. The tractor bears the number plate 48H-00369, controlled by the driver To Van C (SN 1985, resident of Binh Dinh province), circulating on Highway 28 in the direction of Gia Nghia City (Dak Nong) to Quang Son commune.
When arriving at bridge 25, Quang Tien village (Quang Son commune), the tractor-trailer collided with a motorbike with license plate 47B1-400088, driven by Mr. Tran Dinh T (born in 1974, residing in Dak Lak province) and a car with license plate 48D-00547, driven by Mr. Song A P (born in 1987, residing in Quang Son commune).
