Congestion stretches for kilometers at the eastern gateway of Ho Chi Minh City on the first day of the April 30th holiday.
Today (April 30), the first day of the holiday, the volume of vehicles from the center of Ho Chi Minh City pouring into the eastern gateway increased sharply, causing Mai Chi Tho Avenue and surrounding roads to be seriously congested.
Especially, in the An Phu intersection area, the underpass has been blocked in one direction from Mai Chi Tho to the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway access road. This lane closing causes traffic pressure to accumulate, leading to prolonged traffic jams for kilometers. Meanwhile, in the opposite direction from the expressway to the city center, vehicles are still moving normally.
