Standards and rights of private high school teachers from August 2026

Article 10 of the Charter of the Regulations on organization and operation of primary schools, secondary schools, high schools and multi-level private schools issued together with Circular No. 48/2026/TT-BGDDT dated June 22, 2026 of the Minister of Education and Training (effective from August 8, 2026) stipulates as follows:

Article 10. Standards, tasks and rights of teachers and educational support personnel

1. Teachers in private general schools must meet professional standards and conditions according to the provisions of law; have rights and obligations according to the provisions of the Law on Education, the Law on Teachers, the Charter of the General School and relevant legal regulations; exercise rights and obligations according to labor contracts signed with the school.

2. Educational support personnel in private general schools working under labor contracts at the school; exercising rights and obligations according to the provisions of the Labor Code, regulations on organization and operation of the school and relevant legal regulations.

3. Private high schools concretize requirements for each title, job position of teachers and educational support personnel in the school's organizational and operational regulations, ensuring compliance with the provisions of law and professional and nghiệp vụ requirements of each position.

Thus, from August 8, 2026, to become a private general education school teacher, it is necessary to meet the above standards. At the same time, private general education school teachers have rights and obligations according to the provisions of law, the charter of the general education school and according to the contract signed with the school.
