The Vietnamese women's team will face Taiwan (China) at 12:00 (Vietnam time) on March 7.

In the opening match of Group C of the 2026 Asian Women's Cup, the Japanese women's team showed superior strength to defeat Taiwan (China) with a score of 2-0. Meanwhile, the Vietnamese women's team painstakingly defeated India with a score of 2-1.

This result helps Huynh Nhu and her teammates have a wide door in competing for second place in Group C or the 3rd team with the best results, thereby winning a ticket to the quarterfinals of the 2026 Women's Asian Cup.

Entering the 2nd match, the Vietnamese women's team will face Taiwan (China). Head coach Mai Duc Chung said that the whole team is actively preparing and striving to adapt to the hot weather conditions in Australia.

Mr. Chung said: "The next match will take place at 1:00 PM (local time), in hot weather conditions, so there will definitely be many difficulties. The previous match we played in the evening, while the opponent is used to playing at noon.

However, the Vietnamese women's team will try to overcome these disadvantages. With their fighting spirit, the whole team will continue to try to aim for the best results.

If in the 2nd match, India loses to Japan and Vietnam draws with Taiwan (China), coach Mai Duc Chung's team will get 4 points. This number satisfies the conditions for the Vietnamese women's team to participate in the quarter-finals.

The match between the Vietnamese women's team and Taiwan (China) at 12:00 (Vietnam time) on March 7.
