The 2025 CFA Team China U16 International Friendly Tournament will take place from May 28 to June 1. The tournament has the participation of 4 teams: U16 Vietnam, U16 Australia, U16 Saudi Arabia and host U16 China.
According to the match schedule, coach Cristiano Roland and his team will have the opening match against U16 Australia at 13:00 on May 28 (Vietnam time). After that, the whole team will face China U16 at 6:35 p.m. on May 30 and Saudi Arabia U16 at 1:00 p.m. on June 1.
The dense schedule with the intensity of 2 days/match will more or less affect the players' physical strength. Therefore, the coaching staff needs to have calculations to choose the right playing style and personnel.
The goal of U16 Vietnam in this tournament is to compete, rub shoulders, and learn from developed football backgrounds. At the same time, coach Roland will have an overview of the force he has in hand.
Before the tournament, Mr. Roland said: "We have had 2 weeks of active training in Hanoi and are very happy to return to China to participate in this tournament. This is an important opportunity to help U16 Vietnam prepare for the upcoming 2026 U17 Asian qualifiers.
The teams participating in the tournament are all strong opponents, so we will try our best to have the best performance in each match".
