After the end of the first phase of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship, the group stage of the 2025 National A-League will start in Kon Tum from today (May 6.
This year's tournament brings together 28 clubs to compete. 15 men's teams competed including Ha Tinh, Ho Chi Minh City, SKH Pearlnest Khanh Hoa, Tra Vinh, Phu Tho Police, VLXD Binh Duong, Quang Nam, Dong Anh Ha Noi, Ben Tre, Kon Tum, XSKT Vinh Long, Military Region 3, Military Sports Center, Police Command of Co Dong, Ninh Binh Youth.
Meanwhile, 13 women's teams participated, including the Information Corps Youth - Dong Bac Inspectorate, VTV Binh Dien Long An Youth, Ho Chi Minh City Youth, Ninh Binh Youth, Hung Yen, Hanoi, Vinh Phuc, Thai Nguyen, Truyen Dinh Vinh Long, Bac Ninh, Quang Ninh, Dak Lak and Hai Duong.
According to the regulations, 15 men's teams will be divided into 3 groups, competing in a round-robin to select the top 2 teams - second in each group to enter the final round. The 3rd-placed teams in each group will compete in a round-robin to select 2 more men's teams to have all 8 teams enter the final round.
The 13 women's volleyball teams will be divided into 2 groups to compete in a round-robin in the group, to select 4 teams from each group to enter the final round.
The final round will be played from October 23 to November 2. 8 men's teams and 8 women's teams compete for the championship and promotion in the 2026 national championship.
On the first day of competition, the strong teams of this year's tournament such as Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen (women's) and Ha Tinh (men's) will take turns competing.
