On April 6, information from Tuyen Quang Provincial Police said that a serious traffic accident occurred in the area, causing many casualties.
Accordingly, at about 12 hours of the same day, at Km157+400 National Highway 2, passing through Duc Ninh Commune (Ham Yen), a collision occurred between a tractor trailer with license plate 22F-005.91 pulling a trailer 89R-011.78 driven by Mr. Le Thanh Binh (born in 1982, residing in Ham Yen District) in the direction of Ha Giang - Tuyen Quang and passenger car 99B-016.64 driven by Mr. Tran Van Son (born in 1985, residing in Tuyen Quang City) in the opposite direction.
The accident caused the death of Ms. Truong Thi Ngan (born in 1985, residing in Chiem Hoa district). Many others were injured and are being treated at Phuong Bac General Hospital. Both vehicles were severely damaged after the collision.
Immediately after the incident, the authorities were present at the scene to take the victims to the emergency room, divert traffic and investigate the cause.
According to the initial test results, both drivers did not violate alcohol concentration. The cause of the accident is still being clarified.
