On the morning of April 4, the organizing committee of the Hung Vuong Cup 2025 volleyball tournament announced the temporary postponement of the competition for 2 days, April 4 and 5, to hold a national funeral, expressing condolences to General Khamtay Siphandone, former Chairman of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, former President, and former Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
The competition schedule will continue when the tournament returns and end on April 8. According to the latest schedule announced by the organizing committee, the matches taking place on the two previous days of April 4 and 5 will still be kept at the same time and postponed after 2 days.
The ticket price sold to fans remains the same and the audience who have purchased tickets will be guaranteed to enter the stadium when the tournament returns.
