The 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship has determined the quarter-final matches.
Accordingly, the Vietnam women's futsal team, as the first team in Group B, will face the second team in Group C - Japan.
Before that, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang's team won against Hong Kong (China) 5-3, the Philippines 3-0 and drew with Iran 0-0.
On the other side, the team from the land of the rising sun defeated Indonesia 5-2, overcame Bahrain 3-2 but unexpectedly lost 1-3 to Thailand in the final match.
In this year's tournament, the Japanese women's futsal team has a very clear goal of winning the championship.
They have won the runner-up position twice in 2015 and 2018 when they both lost to Iran in the final. Therefore, this will be a huge challenge for Thanh Hang and her teammates.
The quarter-final match between the Vietnamese women's futsal team and Japan will take place at 10:00 on May 13.
Meanwhile, at 1:00 p.m. the same day, the Thai women's futsal team will meet Hong Kong (China).
Another representative of Southeast Asia is the Indonesian women's futsal team, which will face China at 4:00 p.m.
The other match is the match between the Iranian women's futsal team and Taiwan (China) taking place at 19:00.
