According to the schedule, the Vietnamese futsal team will compete with the Thai futsal team in the final match of the Southeast Asian Championship group stage, taking place at 6:00 p.m. today (November 6).
In the last 3 matches, Tu Minh Quang and his teammates won all 3 matches, respectively against Timor Leste 4-1, Malaysia 2-1 and Brunei 14-0. Meanwhile, the Thai futsal team also had similar results when defeating all 3 opponents above.
Both Thailand and Vietnam have already qualified for the semi-finals in Group A. Therefore, in the final match of the group stage, the two teams faced each other with the nature of competing for the top spot.
Coach Diego Giustozzi and his team must win if they want to top the group. As for the home team, a draw is enough to give them an advantage in advancing.
At present, Thai futsal is dominating the Southeast Asian arena. After 17 tournaments, they have won 16 times, the exception being Indonesia winning the title in 2010.
Facing a very strong opponent like Thailand, the Vietnamese futsal team is predicted to face many difficulties. Minh Quang, Doan Phat, Thinh Phat, Duc Hoa... need to take advantage of the opportunity to bring a favorable result for the home team.
