Nghe An - On the morning of August 4, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province received 700 rice cookers from businesses and individuals for charity to support people in flooded areas.

Specifically, Phuoc Tai Company Limited (address 52A Le Loi, Thanh Vinh Ward, Nghe An Province), through the Nghe An Province Women's Business Association, has donated 500 electric rice cookers with a total value of 250 million VND.

On the same day, two Lao businessmen who have a close relationship with Vietnam - Ms. Somchit Sisaykeo (Vietnamese name is Doan Thi Chat) and Mr. Bounnam Sisaykeo (Nguyen Khac Phuc), from Kham Muon province (Laos People's Army), donated 200 more rice cookers, worth 100 million VND.

As of 4:30 p.m. on August 3, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province said that the whole province had registered a total of money and goods to support people in flooded areas of up to VND 125,207,938,411. This is a number that shows the affection and responsibility of organizations and individuals inside and outside the province for people facing natural disasters.

Of which, the remaining amount at the commune-level relief fund: 14,693,394,236 VND has been transferred to the provincial Relief Fund account: 80,113,170,175 VND; The value of goods received has been converted into money: 3,986,862,000 VND; Unregistered registration number: 26,414,557,000 VND.

As of August 2, Nghe An province has allocated 317 billion VND from 2 sources: 205 billion from the budget reserve and 112 billion from the Relief Fund through the account of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee. The money was allocated according to the level of damage, prioritizing support for housing, livelihoods, infrastructure and schools for people in flooded areas.

In recent days, floods and landslides in the North Central and Northern mountainous provinces have killed and left many people missing, houses, schools and maple blossoms were swept away and submerged in mud, affecting local production activities.
