The flood at the end of July 2025 caused serious impacts to many mountainous localities in Nghe An. A series of landslides, spillways were swept away, and traffic was cut off in Huu Kiem, My Ly, Muong tip, Tuong Duong, Nhon Mai communes...
Floods have killed 4 people, injured 4 people, damaged nearly 7,500 houses, thousands of hectares of crops, aquaculture ponds and many other civil works were swept away or buried by floods, with total damage of about VND3,600 billion.
In that situation, Nghe An province has urgently allocated 317 billion VND from 2 sources: 205 billion from the budget reserve and 112 billion from the Relief Fund through the account of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee. The money was allocated according to the level of damage, prioritizing support for housing, livelihoods, infrastructure and schools for people in flooded areas.

Not only the participation of the government, tens of thousands of hearts across the country have turned to the people in the flooded areas of Nghe An. From Trade Union organizations, unions, enterprises to each volunteer group, donation and relief programs are widely organized. Hundreds of convoys of vehicles carrying food, life jackets, necessities, instant noodles, drinking water, medicine from Hanoi, Lao Cai, Dak Lak... and many provinces and cities have crossed passes and streams to supply people in isolated areas.

In the flood center of Muong Xen, My Ly, Nhon Mai, Tuong Duong... border guards, police, and militia did not fear danger, using ropes and boats to cross the stream to bring relief goods to each household. Charity groups such as "Towards the Western Ghenhis region", "Zero-dong Kitchen" or volunteer groups in the province also contributed bags of rice and instant noodles, sent to evacuation points.
The flood passed, leaving behind a scene of devastation, but the spirit of solidarity and compatriotism increased in the midst of hardship.
Nghe An province said it is continuing to review the damage and mobilize more resources, ensuring that no people are left behind in the journey to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
In recent days, floods and landslides in the North Central and Northern mountainous provinces have killed and left many people missing, houses, schools and maple blossoms were swept away and submerged in mud, affecting local production activities.
