On September 24, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of An Ninh commune held the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the commune for the 2025-2030 term.
During the past term, the Commune Fatherland Front Committee has innovated the content and methods of operation, successfully implementing the Resolution of the Congress for the 2024-2029 term; consolidating and promoting the great national unity bloc, enhancing social consensus, creating a solid foundation for local stability and development.
Campaigns and emulation movements have been effectively implemented, arousing the spirit of creativity, joining hands to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas, and sustainable poverty reduction.

The Commune Fatherland Front Committee has coordinated with departments, branches and unions to mobilize and support the construction of 61 houses and 2 bridges for people; awarded 1,249 gifts, 40 scholarships, 4,000 notebooks; supported 200 meals from 0 VND kitchens every month,... with a total value of over 5 billion VND. Thereby, contributing to reducing the poverty rate, improving people's lives, and ensuring social security.
The work of supervision, social criticism, Party building, government and protection of the legitimate rights of the people has been strengthened, associated with the prevention and control of corruption, waste and negativity. People's foreign affairs activities have expanded, focusing on the grassroots.

Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation - acknowledged and commended the Vietnam Fatherland Front of An Ninh commune for promoting its role as a center of solidarity, gathering the strength of the entire people, making an important contribution to socio-economic development, maintaining political security, social order and safety, building new rural areas and civilized urban areas.
In the new term, with many development opportunities, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai suggested that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune strengthen supervision and social criticism work, promote the people's mastery; Focus on training, fostering, and improving the quality of the Front staff; Strongly promote the great national unity bloc, strengthen the close connection between ethnic groups, religions, and people of all walks of life with the common development of An Ninh commune and Can Tho city.

The Congress agreed on 6 key tasks and 3 breakthroughs for the new term; consulted to elect the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Ninh commune, term 2025 - 2030 with 57 members.
At the first meeting, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune jointly elected the Standing Committee and the positions of chairman and vice chairman. Ms. Huynh Thi Ngoc tim holds the position of Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Ninh commune, term 2025 - 2030.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City directly awarded 10 scholarships to students who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies in the commune, each worth 1 million VND.
