On September 17, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Cai Rang ward held the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the ward, term 2025 - 2030.
In the past term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward and its member organizations have well implemented the Resolution of the Congress and closely followed the political tasks of the locality. The Front and socio-political organizations at all levels promote their core role, innovate content and methods and gradually improve the quality and efficiency of operations.
Patriotic emulation movements and campaigns are increasingly in-depth, creating a strong effect. The work of supervision, social criticism, and participation in giving opinions on Party building and government building is increasingly expanding, creating high consensus in society; practically contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development goals, national defense and security in the ward.
The results of organizing the mobilization and donation of resources to support the "For the Poor" Fund and social security of the ward have so far been 541,973,280 VND; 16 solidarity houses have been built and repaired.
Every year, the ward has 30/30 residential areas that have organized the National Great Unity Festival well; 100% of the area maintains and improves the quality of "cultural residential area".
Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation - acknowledged and commended the outstanding efforts and results of activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cai Rang Ward in the past term.
In the new term, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai suggested that the Ward Front should continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, taking solidarity as the foundation for development and arousing the strength of great national unity, associated with the task of developing the socio-economy, building a civilized, modern and affectionate ward; Improving the quality of campaigns and patriotic emulation movements, associated with local characteristics, especially building civilized urban areas, smart urban areas along the Cai Rang river; Pay attention to social security work, take care of people's lives, leave no one behind,....
The Congress agreed on 8 specific targets and 3 breakthroughs for the new term; consulted to elect the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cai Rang Ward for the 2025 - 2030 term, consisting of 59 members (less than 4 members).
At the first meeting, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward unanimously elected the Standing Committee and the positions of chairman and vice chairman. Mr. Nguyen Van Thang holds the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cai Rang Ward, term 2025 - 2030.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City directly awarded 10 scholarships to students who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies in the ward, each worth 1 million VND.
