First of all, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, central organizations, I would like to send to the representative of the leaders of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee, the Central Steering Committee 35 and the representatives attending today's conference my respectful greetings and best wishes.

Entering the first months of 2026, our country has witnessed many important events, creating a premise for the beginning of an era of development, a new era of the Vietnamese nation. That is the success of the 14th National Congress of the Party, of the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and deputies of People's Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term. With that joyful and excited atmosphere, we continue to move towards successfully organizing the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations assigned tasks by the Party and State for the 2026 - 2031 term. This is an opportunity and fortune for the Vietnam Fatherland Front and member organizations to review the achieved results and identify goals and directions for tasks in the new term; thereby continuing to affirm the position, role, and contribution of each organization in the strong development period of the country.
Implementing the direction of General Secretary To Lam at the National Conference summarizing the Party's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization work in 2025, the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and central mass organizations determined to continue to consolidate and promote the strength of "Great Unity" in the current context; so that the Front and member organizations are truly a bridge between the Party, State and People, striving to gather and unite all classes of people, further promote the right to mastery, the right to implement social supervision and criticism, and participate in building the Party and building the People's government. In that context, the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation and participating in protecting the political system must be paid more attention to and promoted by each directly affiliated Party organization, especially for the Party committee and head.

Although the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and central mass organizations were newly established from January 24, 2025 according to Decision No. 245-QD/TW of the Politburo and announced the Decision on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam. However, the Party Committee and Party committees at all levels directly under it have actively deployed to respond and mobilize cadres, party members, association members and people outside the Party Committee to participate in the political commentary contest organized by the Party Committee. Results of the First Contest, 2025: 581 entries were sent to the Organizing Committee of the Contest and 20 excellent works were selected, awarded 01 first prize, 03 second prizes, 06 third prizes and 10 consolation prizes at the Party Committee level, and at the same time, the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and central mass organizations were commended as 01 of 20 outstanding collectives nationwide and 06 individual prizes won at the Central-level Contest. This shows that the Party Committee's political commentary contest has been effectively and creatively implemented, contributing to promoting the strength of the great national unity, building a "people's heart battleground" in protecting the Party's ideological foundation.
I believe that, with the imprint and spread of the First Contest, 2025, the Second Political Essay Contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation, 2026 of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, central organizations will achieve good results, contributing to improving the effectiveness of the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against wrong and hostile viewpoints; closely following the increasingly high requirements of practice to effectively organize the implementation of the political tasks of the Party, State as well as agencies and units; contributing to the entire Party, people, and army to successfully implement the renovation, construction, and development of the country to become increasingly powerful and prosperous in the new era of development.
With that spirit, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, I launch the Second Political Essay Contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation in 2026 of the Party Committee. Respectfully request affiliated party organizations, the system of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, mass organizations assigned tasks by the Party and State, and press agencies of mass organizations to actively respond and participate in the Contest, Research and organize the Contest at their level and unit in a creative, practical, and effective direction, suitable to the functions, tasks, and target audiences of the units; thereby, promote the role of the system of socio-political organizations, mass organizations assigned tasks by the Party and State, especially towards grassroots levels. Strive for the results of the Second Contest in 2026 to achieve higher results than the First Contest in terms of both the number of entries, the quality of entries, and the number of awarded entries.
After the Launching Ceremony, it is requested that directly affiliated party organizations, the Vietnam Fatherland Front system, socio-political organizations, mass organizations assigned tasks by the Party and State, and press agencies of mass organizations post the Plan, Regulations and Appendices orienting the theme of the Party Committee-level Contest, post banners about the Second Contest, 2026 of the Party Committee on the websites of units. For mass organization press agencies, it is requested that units open columns to receive political essay entries on protecting the ideological foundation of the Party from all participants in the Contest nationwide.
