On October 9, Vinh Long General Hospital coordinated with the Vinh Long Provincial Red Cross Society and Can Tho Hematology and Blood Transfusion Hospital to organize a voluntary blood reception right on the hospital premises.
With the spirit of "mutual love", the program attracted a large number of medical staff to participate. As a result, the blood donation received 119 units of blood, serving emergency care and treatment.
According to the leader of Vinh Long General Hospital, from the beginning of 2025 to now, the hospital has organized blood donation programs 3 times, receiving 278 units of safe blood.
Voluntary blood donation not only demonstrates the spirit of sharing and community responsibility of medical staff and employees but also spreads a meaningful message about saving people with drops of pink blood.
The unit will continue to organize periodic blood donations to contribute to timely blood supply for emergency care and patient treatment, while also demonstrating the spirit of compassion and responsibility for the community and the lives of patients.
