On June 19, at the Tra On District Political Center, the District Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation in coordination with the Can Tho City Hematology - Blood Transfusion Hospital organized the 6th voluntary blood donation in 2025.
More than 300 volunteers who are officials, civil servants, public employees, union members, youth, students, armed forces and people from the communes of Tan My, Luc Si Thanh, Phu Thanh, Tich Thien... As a result, the organizing committee received more than 200 units of blood.
Since the beginning of the year, Tra On district has organized 6 voluntary blood donations, receiving over 600 units of blood, reaching more than 60% of the target assigned by the province. The voluntary blood donation movement is spreading more and more strongly, becoming a regular activity, attracting the participation of many classes of people.
Currently, Tra On district has 1 propaganda and consultation team for voluntary blood donation with 12 members; 1 Blood Donation Club of the agency with 17 members; 14 Provisional Blood Donation Clubs with 210 members and 9 Family Blood Donation Clubs with a total of 198 members.
With the message "Donate blood to save people - a noble gesture", the voluntary blood donation movement in Tra On not only contributes to timely blood supply for emergency care and patient treatment but also demonstrates the spirit of compassion and responsibility for the community and the lives of patients.
