On the evening of February 3, 2026, at Ho Guom Theater (Hanoi), the National Excellent Party Cell Secretary Commendation Ceremony will take place. Mr. Lam Van Bang - Party Cell Secretary of the Museum of Revolutionary Soldiers captured and imprisoned by the enemy (Phu Xuyen, Hanoi) is one of 96 honored figures.
Full oath of attachment to revolutionary ideals
Born and raised in the years when the country was still in the smoke and fire of war, from the lectures of teachers and stories about Uncle Ho, about the Party, Mr. Lam Van Bang soon formed a noble ideal - to stand in the ranks of the Party, bringing youth and intelligence to contribute to the Fatherland.
In April 1965, he enlisted; in December 1966, he was admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam. In May 1968, he was wounded and fell into the hands of the enemy. In prison, he and his comrades were brave and devoted, wholeheartedly protecting the Party, protecting the revolution, ready to sacrifice heroically in the face of brutal torture.
After being released from prison, Mr. Bang worked in the bridge and road industry. Since 2013, he has held the position of Secretary of the Party Cell of the Museum of Revolutionary Soldiers who were captured and imprisoned by the enemy. He always kept in mind that: "As a Party member, in any position, you must uphold the spirit of pioneering, exemplary, saying and doing, putting the interests of the collective and the people first".
The Party cell of the Museum of Revolutionary Soldiers being captured and imprisoned by the enemy is very specific, many Party members have experienced combat and imprisonment... In the context that the majority of Party members are elderly people, maintaining the Party's lifestyle, promoting the leadership core role and fostering successor forces is not an easy task.
In his position as Party cell secretary, comrade Lam Van Bang focused on building a united and unified Party cell, linking Party activities with political tasks and traditional education work.
According to Mr. Kieu Van Uych - Party member of the Party cell, Party cell activities at the Museum are implemented according to the motto of linking the fire of revolutionary ideals and maintaining and developing museum activities. In addition, the museum leadership and the Party cell focus on expanding activities, inviting both Party members and the masses who are regularly attached to the museum to participate in order to create an environment for training, fostering and discovering successor factors.
The role and contribution of the Party cell secretary is very large, because he is both the director and the person who comprehensively directs all activities of the museum and Party work. His exemplary and dedication has created a spreading effect, helping the Party cell maintain a regular lifestyle and make positive contributions to the local Party Committee," Mr. Uych expressed.

Nurturing faith and dedication to the young generation
From collecting artifacts displayed at the museum, welcoming delegations of students, to coordinating with localities in traditional education, all activities are placed under the direct leadership of the Party cell.
Mr. Bang regularly directly leads delegations of students to visit, recount the years of imprisonment, and stories about comrades who sacrificed. Through this, he wishes to cultivate in the young generation a understanding of history, a desire to contribute, and a sense of striving for the Party.
When listening to Mr. Bang tell about the years of imprisonment and the heroic sacrifice of his comrades, Nguyen Thi Thanh Hang (21 years old, Hanoi) felt more clearly the value of peace today being exchanged for the white bones and blood of the soldiers.
Each story, each keepsake here quietly sows in the hearts of young people respect, sense of responsibility and aspiration to contribute to their homeland and country. I want to train and strive to stand in the ranks of the Party, carrying faith and a spirit of dedication, continuing the path that previous generations have persistently opened up", Thanh Hang said.
Now, when he is over 80 years old, comrade Lam Van Bang considers building a team of young Party members as the biggest concern. He believes that tradition is only truly maintained when there is continuation through actions and responsibility of the next generation.
The country is developing and integrating, but the ideals of Party members will never fade. In any position, young comrades must maintain absolute faith in the Party, live honestly, dare to take on difficult tasks, dare to take responsibility. Striving for the Party is striving for the future of the country," Mr. Bang expressed.
Comrade Lam Van Bang is 1 of 96 outstanding Party cell secretaries honored at the National Excellent Party Cell Secretary Commendation Ceremony. "This is a great honor for me personally, a recognition for the Party cell collective, the comrades who have persistently preserved and spread revolutionary traditions with me for many years. I will see this as motivation to continue to strive, continue to keep the fire burning for the young generation, so that the museum becomes a space to nurture faith, ideals and aspirations to contribute to the Party, to the homeland, and the country," Mr. Bang confided.
