The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province on February 2 said that on the evening of February 1, the Election Commission of Ca Mau province handed over the dossiers for candidates for the 16th National Assembly and People's Council deputies for the 2026-2031 term to the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, as a basis for organizing consultations in accordance with the law.
The Provincial Election Commission has handed over to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee 23 sets of dossiers for candidates for the 16th National Assembly, including summary biographies and declarations of assets and income of candidates; at the same time, 173 sets of dossiers for candidates for the Ca Mau Provincial People's Council for the 2026 - 2031 term have also been fully handed over, in accordance with regulations; including 2 cases of self-nomination.

The handover of dossiers is to serve the process of organizing consultations according to the provisions of the Law on Election of National Assembly Deputies and Provincial People's Council Deputies, ensuring that the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province implements the consultation steps in a democratic, public, transparent manner, in accordance with the order and time prescribed by law.
This is an important stage in the preparation for the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term, contributing to ensuring the selection and introduction of people who meet the standards and conditions, represent the will and aspirations of the People, and meet the requirements of building the State apparatus in the new period.
