On July 29, the Provisional People's Council of Phu Thuan Ward (HCMC), term 2021-2026, held its 2nd session.
The session approved many important contents such as the working regulations of the People's Council; regulations on citizen reception; program of activities for the last 6 months of 2025; supervision program in 2026; resolution on the establishment of the People's Council Delegation Group and coordination regulations between the Standing Committee of the People's Council, People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of the ward.
Reporting on the activities participating in building the government in the first 6 months of 2025, Mr. Le Van Dua - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Thuan ward said that the unit has organized many activities to grasp the situation of people, take care of social security such as organizing 2 meetings with voters with 250 attendees, giving 31 gifts to poor households and supporting the construction of 3 union shelters.
At the session, Mr. Le Loi - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Thuan Ward reported on the results of handling voters' recommendations before the session.
The People's Committee of Phu Thuan Ward has coordinated with functional units to completely handle the situation of electric cars parked encroaching on the road on Pham Thi Ba route. At the same time, inspect and request to fix the installation of signs encroaching on the roadside on Huynh Tan Phat and Nguyen Van Quy routes. For degraded roads such as Pham Thi Ba, the unit has planned to upgrade to prevent flooding.
Mr. Loi pledged to supervise the relocation of low-voltage power and telecommunication cables in Tan Thuan residential area before August 10 to ensure the safety of the people.
Many delegates attending the meeting highly appreciated the efforts of the newly established government.
Concluding the session, Mr. Chau Xuan Dai Thang - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of Phu Thuan Ward People's Council acknowledged the serious efforts of the delegates with important opinions and recommendations and requested relevant agencies to seriously implement the resolutions that have been passed.
Mr. Thang requested the Standing Committee of the Ward People's Committee to urgently review and direct the development of plans, programs, and projects under the functions and tasks prescribed by the authority to propose to the Ward People's Council for approval at the upcoming thematic session.
Agencies and units need to inform about the establishment of the People's Council Delegation Group so that the political system in the neighborhood and the people know to coordinate, participate in activities, participate in supervision, and give comments to build a more active and efficient apparatus.
