Attending the meeting were Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem - Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province and leaders of the Departments and units of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Presenting a report on the implementation of work related to the 16th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Son La province, term 2025-2030, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province said that with the spirit of "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development", the Congress aims to enhance the core political role, promote the strength of national solidarity, implement democracy, innovate content and methods of operation associated with digital transformation; join hands to build Son La province to develop green, fast and sustainably.
The Congress also set out a number of specific targets such as: Every year, organize the launching and implementation of mobilizing resources to support the "For the Poor" Fund; 100% of households whose houses have collapsed, collapsed completely or are severely damaged, have people dead, missing, or are seriously injured are supported and helped by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels.
Every year, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee shall preside over supervision of 5 or more contents; the commune level shall preside over supervision of at least 3 contents; 100% of documents requesting social criticism according to regulations shall be sent to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province...

Regarding personnel work at the Congress, based on the current organizational structure of the Vietnam Fatherland Front system and the requirements for implementing political tasks in the coming time, it is expected that the number of members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the 16th Provincial Party Committee will be 90 with a structure of non-Party people accounting for 5%; Ethnic minorities accounting for 62.92%; Religious affairs accounting for 1.12%; the re-election rate is 34.83%.
From the opinions of delegates attending the meeting, Vice President Ha Thi Nga suggested that the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee continue to coordinate to successfully organize the 16th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Son La province, term 2025-2030.
Appreciating the preparation of documents of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province, Vice Chairwoman Ha Thi Nga suggested that, from the opinions of delegates attending the meeting, the Provincial Front should continue to study and complete the Political Report, clearly identify the goals, targets, key tasks and implementation solutions throughout the term. In particular, it is necessary to study and supplement the contents of the speech of the General Secretary at the First Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Congress, the first Central organizations and the plan to organize the implementation of the speech of the General Secretary of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to the section on goals, direction of activities, and action programs for the coming term.
Along with that, the Political Report needs to supplement outstanding results for a number of action programs bearing the mark of the term; update the results after the implementation of the merger and streamlining of the apparatus according to Regulation 301-QD/TW, dated June 9, 2025 of the Central Party Secretariat.
Vice President Ha Thi Nga also noted the need to study and concretize the content of 4 strategic resolutions of the Politburo into action programs, especially focusing on the content of developing science, technology, innovation; the content of developing the private economy to suit the actual situation of Son La province in the current period.
Regarding personnel submitted to the Congress, Vice President Ha Thi Nga said that personnel submitted to the Congress need to ensure a suitable structure and composition, bearing the typical colors of the Front and must select individuals with expertise in various fields to further promote the strength and voice of the Front in each residential area in the whole province.
