The peak month of "For the Poor" in 2025, taking place from October 17 to November 18, is an opportunity for the whole society to express the spirit of mutual love for those in difficult circumstances. This is not only a material donation campaign, but also a common effort to create sustainable value, helping the poor have the opportunity to freely rise up in life.
Responding to the emulation movement "For the poor - No one is left behind" for the period 2021 - 2025 and the Program to mobilize support for building schools for border communes, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) issued Instruction 14/HD-MTTW-BTT, signed by Ms. Ha Thi Nga - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front - and sent to the Standing Committees of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of provinces, cities and member organizations.
According to the Instruction, the implementation of the peak month "For the Poor" in 2025 aims to strengthen the great national unity bloc, promote the glorious tradition of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and at the same time create a vibrant competitive atmosphere towards celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2025), the National Great Unity Festival, the 14th National Party Congress and the Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front Delegates at all levels for the 2025 - 2030 term.
Activities during the Peak Month are oriented in the spirit of both supporting, encouraging, and honoring personal efforts. The programs to build "Great Unity House", "Warm Shelter", supporting children, crops or practical livelihoods for poor households, near-poor households, and people in especially difficult circumstances are considered the focus. In addition, areas affected by storms and floods, remote areas, border areas and islands will be prioritized in allocating support resources.
Instruction 14/HD-MTTW-BTT emphasizes that activities need to be organized in a unified manner, with close coordination between the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and state agencies, member organizations of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to avoid overlap in mobilization and resource allocation. Localities are required to develop plans to organize activities suitable to reality, from mobilizing businesses, organizations and individuals to support the "For the Poor" Fund to implementing social security programs, supporting the right subjects and needs.
Propaganda work is identified as one of the key tasks. The media agencies of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and member organizations coordinate with press agencies to promote information about the meaning and results of the Peak Month, honor typical examples of overcoming difficulties, communities that strive to escape poverty sustainably, and recognize the contributions of organizations and individuals to the "For the Poor" Fund. The Vietnam Fatherland Front also encourages the spread of beautiful stories, creative models, and effective ways of doing things in poverty reduction, contributing to creating inspiration and trust in the community.
Socio-political organizations should base on actual conditions to have appropriate forms of propaganda and mobilization in their systems, and at the same time coordinate with local authorities to build Great Unity houses, support livelihoods, and eliminate dilapidated houses for poor households who are union members and members of the organization. Mobilizing cadres and members to support the "For the Poor" Fund is considered a practical way to spread the spirit of social responsibility.
At the same time, inspection and supervision work is required to be strengthened to ensure the organization, mobilization and use of the "For the Poor" Fund in accordance with regulations, transparency and efficiency. Domestic and foreign collectives, individuals and enterprises that have made positive contributions to poverty reduction will be commended, honored and rewarded, thereby encouraging the spirit of sharing and solidarity in the whole society.
The peak month of "For the Poor" in 2025 is not only an opportunity to mobilize resources to support but also an opportunity for the whole society to look back, affirming the spirit of humanity and solidarity of the Vietnamese people. Every contribution, no matter how small, contributes to helping the poor have more motivation and faith to rise up, gradually escape difficulties, and move towards a better life - in line with the goal of "leaving no one behind".
