Hanoi - Digital transformation has truly become a strategic imperative to innovate the leadership methods and operations of the Front system.

On the morning of May 12, a presentation at the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026 – 2031 by Ms. Bui Huyen Mai - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Non-professional Vice Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City affirmed: Digital transformation is no longer an option, but has truly become a strategic command to innovate the leadership methods and operation of the Front system.

Digital transformation is to promote socialist democracy and consolidate trust, maintain stability from the grassroots level.

Ms. Bui Huyen Mai said that building the Capital Digital Front with the philosophy: Technology is the means - People are the center - The strength of great unity is the highest goal. Digital transformation is the "bridge" for the Front to get closer to the people, understand the people better and serve the People better as requested by the General Secretary and President at the meeting with voters on May 4 - that is, Hanoi needs to build a safe and healthy digital society, serving the people.

Previously, to get a feedback from people about flooded alleys or environmental pollution to competent authorities, it sometimes took a whole month through neighborhood meetings and many petitions. But today, in Hanoi, just a smartphone, a few simple operations on the iHanoi application, people's voices immediately reach the desk of competent leaders to resolve in real time.

From the example above, Ms. Bui Huyen Mai emphasized that digital transformation is a command from real life, a "bridge" for the Front to be closer to the people, to become a place where the Party's will blends with the people's hearts, concretizing the view "The people are the root". Digital transformation is not just technology but truly a revolution in thinking. Unlike digital government aimed at social governance, the digital transformation goal of the Front is to connect, listen, promote socialist democracy and consolidate the people's trust, and maintain stability from the grassroots level.

5 breakthrough spearheads of the City Fatherland Front

Currently, the City Fatherland Front is focusing on 5 spearheads, including: Building "One axis, multi-channel" infrastructure; Innovating propaganda using AI technology; Operating a scientific digital management system; Building a data warehouse "Correct - Sufficient - Clean - Living - Unified and Common"; Piloting the construction of the model "Digital Villages and Residential Groups".

Ms. Bui Huyen Mai also clearly stated that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City is committed to implementing 3 strategic solutions. First, eliminate information "hooliganism": Integrate platforms into a unified digital ecosystem from the City to the grassroots level, ensure information security, and thoroughly handle people's voices promptly and transparently.

Second, training "Digital Skills" for officials: Switching from "software training" to "digital management thinking training". Each Front official must become a sensitive "digital propagandist". Starting from the City doing first, setting an example and then spreading to the grassroots level, gradually creating Digital Trust.

Third, pioneering "Listening to social networks": Proactively applying technology to forecast "hot spots", early identifying people's livelihood issues to promptly advise Party committees and authorities to "go one step ahead" in creating social consensus.

Digital transformation in Front work is not just replacing a pen with a keyboard, but changing a whole mindset to be more united - more consensual - stronger.
