At the voter contact conference, campaigning for the election of NA Deputies of the 16th term at Election Unit No. 2 organized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Da Nang City, representatives of Da Nang City Police informed about the plan to ensure security and order (ANTT) associated with new development milestones of the city.
The implementation of Resolution 136/2024/QH15 of the National Assembly on organizing urban government and piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang City is opening up great opportunities. In which, Da Nang is assigned to pilot the establishment of a Free Trade Zone and an International Financial Center. These are breakthrough economic models, appearing for the first time in Vietnam.
However, Colonel Nguyen Dai Dong - Deputy Director of Da Nang City Police - acknowledged that, besides the positive economic results, the emergence of these new models also hides many complex risks regarding social order and safety. Economic crimes, high-tech crimes or transnational crimes can take advantage of open and specific mechanisms to operate.
To ensure a safe investment environment, Da Nang City Police determines that prevention work must go one step ahead. Currently, the unit is coordinating with the Ministry of Public Security and relevant agencies to focus on in-depth research on policies and guidelines.
These are very new issues. In parallel with the implementation of economic models, we are researching to advise the National Assembly, Government, City Party Committee and City People's Committee to issue appropriate legal normative documents. The goal is to proactively prevent and close legal loopholes, not to let criminals take advantage of these specific mechanisms to operate," the representative of Da Nang City Police emphasized before voters.
Building this legal and nghiệp vụ "shield" is considered a prerequisite for the World Financial Center and Free Trade Zone to operate stably, avoiding risks of money laundering, financial fraud or high-quality smuggling.
According to Da Nang City Police, in the coming time, functional forces will strengthen the application of science and technology in security management in key economic areas. At the same time, propaganda will be promoted to help people and businesses clearly identify new methods and tricks of criminals, especially criminals taking advantage of high technology in the financial sector.
