On August 6, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee - and Delegation No. 1 of the Provincial People's Council met with voters in Quy Nhon ward to listen to voters' opinions and recommendations.
Voters propose many issues on infrastructure and policies
At the meeting, voters were informed about the results of the 5th session of the 13th Provincial People's Council. The session comprehensively reviewed the socio-economic development situation, national defense - security in the first 6 months of 2026; passed many important resolutions serving the socio-economic development of the province in the coming time.

In the spirit of democracy and openness, voters have reflected and proposed many groups of issues related to economic development, tourism, education, infrastructure investment and regimes and policies.
Many voters proposed that the Provincial People's Council soon issue a resolution regulating titles, quantities, regimes, and policies for non-specialized personnel; pay attention to the operating mechanism of specialized associations, including the Former Political Prisoners Association; arrange residential group headquarters to ensure area, equipment and meet digital transformation requirements.
In the field of education, voters also expressed concern about the arrangement and merger of educational institutions in the area.

Voters proposed that the province continue to invest in building Hai Minh sea dyke; complete the infrastructure of residential group 1, Hai Minh area according to the approved plan to ensure safety against natural disasters and stabilize people's lives.
In addition, voters proposed that the province soon have a plan to renovate the Nui Mot area, develop a relocation plan and arrange resettlement for 87 households living in landslide-prone areas...
Commitment to resolving legitimate petitions
On behalf of Delegation No. 1 of the Provincial People's Council, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan directly exchanged and clarified many contents under his authority; and at the same time received all opinions and recommendations of voters to summarize and transfer to functional agencies for consideration and resolution according to regulations.
Before the voters' opinions, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan affirmed that the province always listens and stands on the side of the people for grounded and legitimate petitions.

Regarding the tourism sector, the Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee said that the number of visitors to Quy Nhon in 2026 increased sharply, opening up many expectations to promote tourism and service development.
To effectively exploit this potential, along with infrastructure investment, the companionship of people in maintaining environmental sanitation, protecting the landscape, not encroaching on sidewalks and roadways, contributing to building a civilized, friendly and safe urban image for tourists is very necessary.
Regarding disaster prevention and control, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan emphasized that the province will proactively review and fully identify areas at risk of landslides and unsafety; resolutely relocate people from dangerous areas and build resettlement areas for people to stabilize their lives.
Regarding the proposal on arranging residential group headquarters, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan said that he will directly survey and work with residential groups to grasp the actual situation.
Regarding recommendations related to the Former Political Prisoners Association, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan requested the Department of Home Affairs to study and advise on appropriate policies; localities should proactively pay attention, visit, and take timely care of those who have made many contributions to the country.
Regarding the arrangement of schools, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan said that the province is implementing a plan to reorganize the system in a streamlined direction, expected to reduce about 45% of schools and about 1,000 staff, and at the same time rearrange the scale of classes to improve the efficiency of management, use of resources and quality of education.
Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee wishes voters to continue to accompany the government, actively reflect inadequacies arising from practice and contribute initiatives and solutions for the province to improve mechanisms and policies, improve management efficiency, and serve the people better and better.
