Information from the People's Committee of Da Nang City, Vice Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Nguyen Thi Anh Thi and the working delegation visited and provided medical support to the Medical Centers of Bac Tra My and Nam Tra My areas.
At the program, the City People's Committee donated 100 million VND to each center to support the purchase of medical supplies, medicine and essential equipment to serve the medical examination and treatment of people in mountainous areas.
Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi said that the city always pays attention to mountainous localities, especially in the period of overcoming the consequences of floods.
The Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee requested that medical units effectively use support sources, prioritizing the needs of medical examination and treatment for ethnic minorities in the locality.
At the same time, he hoped that the local government would continue to accompany and promptly grasp the difficulties to work with the city to resolve and support people to stabilize their lives.
Joining hands to help people affected by natural disasters, according to the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Da Nang City, as of November 20, organizations and individuals have donated more than 126 billion VND to the fund to support people in the city affected by floods. Along with the outstanding fund of more than 21 billion VND after the merger of provinces, the total amount is more than 147 billion VND.
From this fund, more than 17 billion VND has been allocated to people in affected areas. Regarding goods, the city has received 308 tons (worth about 8.8 billion VND), of which 293 tons have been distributed, with 15 tons still left.
All goods received by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City in coordination with the Military Command and the Red Cross Society of the city were promptly distributed to affected households, ensuring publicity, transparency and proper purpose.
