On November 26, the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang City held a conference to summarize the implementation of the Project "Supporting the national innovative startup ecosystem until 2025", period 2022-2025.
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Le Quang Nam - emphasized that in recent years, Da Nang's innovative startup ecosystem has had strong development steps, recognized by the domestic and international communities.
Da Nang City not only completes mechanisms and policies but also builds many key programs and projects, closely coordinating with central ministries and branches to form specific policies to serve innovation.
According to the Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee, the components of the ecosystem are increasingly fully formed, connected and developed. To date, Da Nang has had 3 startup support centers, 12 incubation gardens, 3 inventory spaces, 8 shared workspaces, 6 startup investment funds and dozens of startup clubs at universities.
This network is creating a platform for comprehensive and flexible support for the creative startup community in the area.
At the same time, international cooperation is being promoted with the formation of innovative spaces connecting Da Nang with Seoul, the Gulf of Tonkin and many partners such as Singapore, Japan, South Korea, and the Netherlands.
In terms of infrastructure, projects serving innovation such as Software Park No. 2, Innovation Startup Support Center and creative spaces in universities are being strongly invested in, creating conditions for startups to have an environment to test and deploy products.
Thanks to synchronous efforts, in 2025, Da Nang City was ranked in the top 1,000 global startup ecosystems for the first time according to StartupBlink, ranked 766th and up 130 places compared to the previous year. Da Nang City is also recognized as "fastest growing startup ecosystem in Vietnam".
Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Le Quang Nam acknowledged the efforts of the Departments, branches, sectors and the role of the Department of Science and Technology in coordinating the ecosystem, the contributions of universities, research institutes, kindergartens, investment funds and startup communities, pioneering entities creating new value.
Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Le Quang Nam suggested that delegates focus on giving comments on key groups of tasks such as improving the effectiveness of startup support policies; strengthening public-private cooperation to build an innovation ecosystem;
Develop technology enterprises in the fields of AI, digital transformation, automation and biotechnology; Expand national and international connectivity; Promote the role of institutes and support organizations, while attracting large technology corporations to participate in leading the ecosystem.
