Da Nang receives 1.5 billion VND from businesses to support people in flooded areas

Da Nang - Da Nang businesses continue to join hands with the Front organization to help people overcome the consequences of floods.

On the afternoon of November 26, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City received 1.5 billion VND donated by Silver Shores Investment and Development Company Limited and Hoa Tho Textile Joint Stock Corporation, to support people affected by floods.

Mr. Thomas Mark Clifford - General Director of Silver Shores Company - represented to present 1 billion VND. He said that the company hopes to " co part with the city government in sharing efforts, helping people in flooded areas overcome difficulties soon".

Hoa Tho Textile and Garment Corporation donated 500 million VND, through Trade Union Chairman Nguyen Thanh Son. Sharing at the reception ceremony, Mr. Son emphasized: "This is the responsibility and affection of the Hoa Tho workers to send to the people in the disaster area".

Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City Le Tri Thanh respectfully acknowledged the timely support of businesses. He affirmed that the funding will be allocated "to the right subjects, to the right needs, to help people soon stabilize their lives and restore production".
