The leaders and Trade Union of An Hung Joint Stock Company presented 15 million VND in cash and some new boxes of clothes to the Trade Union of Quan Thanh Commune (Yen Thanh District) to support the people of the Western Nghe An region affected by storm No. 3.
On the same day, through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, the people and officials of Quynh Mai ward (Nghe An province) donated 935.494 million VND; Toshico Vietnam Joint Stock Company donated 65 million VND.
The recent storm No. 3 caused particularly serious damage in Nghe An, especially in the border communes of the western mountainous region, killing 4 people and injuring 4 others; 484 houses collapsed and were completely swept away; more than 2,300 houses were damaged under 70%; estimated damage was VND3,800 billion, of which the education sector suffered about VND100 billion in damage.
According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, support resources will be allocated promptly to people in localities that suffered heavy damage, helping people soon stabilize their lives after floods.
