On the afternoon of October 19, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Co Dam commune - said that the Co Dam commune police are verifying information in the area that a girl was assaulted by her stepfather and had to be hospitalized.
According to Mr. Tuan, it was initially verified that there was an incident of the child being beaten. "We have sent the Vice Chairman of the commune, the Department of Culture and the Women's Union to approach and encourage the child," Mr. Tuan shared.
At around 2:00 p.m. on October 19, Facebook account Phan Thi Kim Oanh shared information at the old Vinh City Hospital (Nghe An province) about a girl studying in grade 5 at Co Dam Primary School (Ha Tinh province) who had to be hospitalized due to being assaulted and beaten many times by her stepfather.
This Facebook account expressed its frustration and called: Who knows the hotline for child abuse, please call the newspaper and report to help me.
Attached with the content are photos and videos of the girl being beaten and bruised with markings on her back, buttocks, thighs and legs. In particular, the child still had a tear wound on his head and had to use a bandage to reattach it.
In the posted video, the child said his name was H.T.N.L in Co Dam commune. The child also said that on September 18, his father thought he was lying about her grandmother coming to the house to play, so he beat him.
