The delegation was welcomed by leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation (LDLD).
According to the report of Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor, the impact of the circulation of storm No. 10 (Bualoi) injured 2 union members and workers, and caused 2,824 families to have their roofs blown off, damaged, and flooded.
21 enterprises with over 1,800 workers had to temporarily suspend production and business due to flooding and damage to property and works.
Immediately after the natural disaster occurred, Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor directed the Trade Union Working Committees of Industrial Parks, Commune and Ward Trade Unions to mobilize union members and workers to help affected households to support the recovery of damage; promptly, visit and encourage the families of affected workers.

Following the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL), Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor has established delegations to directly go to units and enterprises affected by floods and at the same time support businesses and workers in 25 units and 176 workers with an amount of VND 226,000,000.
Speaking at the visit, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - expressed his deep sympathy for the damage and loss caused by storms and floods; at the same time, he acknowledged the proactive and responsible spirit of Lao Cai Provincial Trade Unions at all levels in accompanying, caring for and supporting union members and workers to overcome difficulties.

Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu suggested that the Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor continue to grasp the situation, deploy timely support measures; step up propaganda work, raise awareness among workers about preventing and adapting to natural disasters and climate change.
On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded 1 billion VND in support to the Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor to take care of union members and workers affected by storms and floods.

During the day, the working group visited, shared and grasped the living and working conditions of workers at Unico Global YB Company Limited - a company with many union members affected by the recent floods.
Here, the leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor presented 100 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to support union members and workers who suffered losses. At the same time, they commended the spirit of efforts to overcome difficulties, solidarity, and mutual support of the collective of workers and grassroots trade unions.




"Requesting that the enterprise union on the basis of grasping the damage of union members after storms and floods to coordinate with the company and the government to support workers and laborers. The tradition of the Vietnamese people of a piece when hungry is worth a package when full is very meaningful. I help them overcome difficult times and they will always remember and work better," Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu discussed with the leaders and Trade Union of Unico Global YB Company Limited.
Sharing with union members affected by natural disasters, the Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor emphasized: Trade unions at all levels always accompany, protect the rights and share with workers. Hopefully, union members will make more efforts to develop with the business, towards a cozy and fulfilling traditional Tet.
