Every heart - a warm fire for the poor
In mid-November 2025, the small house of Ms. Dang Thi Dich (85 years old, Van Tuong commune) was bustling with laughter. After many years of living in a dilapidated house, Mrs. Dich now has a solid home, firmly weathered by the storm. "Thanks to the Front's support for repairing houses, during the recent storm season, I no longer have to run around relatives' houses like every year. I am very grateful" - she said emotionally.
Mrs. Dich's joy is one of thousands of simple but humane stories from the "For the Poor" Fund. Since the beginning of the year, the fund at all levels has mobilized more than 160 billion VND. From this valuable resource, 1,985 new houses have been built, 766 houses have been repaired; hundreds of poor students have been supported to go to school, hundreds of poor people have been supported for livelihood, medical examination and treatment; along with many civil works growing in remote, isolated, border and island areas.
During the "For the Poor" Peak Month 2025 (October 17 - November 18), the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province continue to spread the spirit of "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves", mobilizing community strength to care for the poor and people in difficult circumstances.
Not only businesses or large organizations, but many simple individuals also contribute quietly to that journey of kindness. Like Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, a farmer in Ngoc Thu village, Bo Y commune (Quang Ngai). Although not rich, from 2020 to now, his family has donated nearly 500 million VND to the poor and social security activities. "I have also experienced a difficult situation so I understand. Helping people in times of hardship, "a piece of food when hungry is worth a package when full", sometimes just a little money, but at the right time it is extremely meaningful" - Mr. Thanh confided.

Spreading the spirit of "leaving no one behind"
In Van Tuong commune, the mobilization of the "For the Poor" Fund has been strongly implemented. Mr. Nguyen Duc Son - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune - said: "The commune currently has 381 poor households and 502 near-poor households. To have support resources, we have launched a fundraising campaign, receiving active support from businesses and philanthropists inside and outside the province. Up to now, the Village Front has mobilized nearly 110 million VND. It is expected that in mid-November, the commune will organize a mass art night to continue raising funds, creating more funding to support new construction, repairing houses and giving gifts to the poor".
Throughout the province, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ngai province has developed a plan to mobilize the "For the Poor" Fund, especially focusing on the Peak Month in 2025. All levels of the Front have specific tasks; activities are implemented synchronously from the province to the grassroots, combined with direct mobilization, communication in the press, social networks and organizing large-scale launching ceremonies to spread the spirit of sharing.
The Front at all levels also coordinates with authorities, businesses and related units to receive and allocate resources to the right people and to the right needs, helping each donation from the people to be used effectively.
Mr. Ho Ngoc Thinh - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ngai province shared: "From the achieved results, in the coming time, we will continue to promote the campaign to support the "For the Poor" Fund, mobilize the strength of the whole society to sustainably reduce poverty, towards the goal of "No one is left behind". We will also carefully survey actual needs, identify priority subjects, avoid duplication, ensure the use of public and transparent resources to create trust among the people and philanthropists.
